Tree Recycling

Having a real Christmas trees is actually a pretty environmentally-friendly thing to do, at least when compared to artificial trees (PVC!!!) and the huge amounts of unnecessary wrapping paper that are used. The trees, at the very worst, degrade well and, at the best, are recycled into mulch for community use. Fortuntately, my community recycles the trees and makes the resulting mulch available free of charge to anyone that wants to drive up, shovel it, and haul it away. Sure, it may not be the highest quality mulch, but it’s done the trick in our yard a number of times in the past few years.

Does your community offer tree recycling? Is it curbside pickup (ours is) or do you have to take it somewhere?
