It’s been a while since I covered any Oreo-related products, so today I’ll be discussing another less unhealthy alternative to Oreos, Health Valley Cookie Cremes.
I was surprised at how much the Cookie Cremes taste like Whole Foods’ faux-reos. They have the same extra creamy center that’s not-quite-Oreo-but-still-mighty-tasty. Where the Cookie Cremes have the advantage, though, is in the cookie: it’s quite good… nice and crunchy, but not overly dry. They are more expensive per-cookie than their Whole Foods’ counterparts, though, and the Health Valley package contains less so you’ll go through a package much more quickly.
All-in-all, I’m quite pleased with the Cookie Cremes as a less deadly alternative to Oreos (no hydrogenated oils, lower saturated fat, etc.).
