Do you hate setting clocks and remembering to “spring forward” or “fall back?” Do you wish your analog clocks could do what your computer’s clock does? Now it can.
La Crosse Technology makes a variety of products, inlcuding wireless weather stations and rain gauges, but certainly one of their more interesting technologies is their series of radio controlled analog clocks that keep atomic time based on a central clock in Colorado while also automatically adjusting for daylight savings time. This one will also give you a weather forecast.
It’s a pretty cool use of radio-controlled time synchronization in an everyday product. As Kevin Kelly said, “Someday all clocks and watches (and appliances!) will be this smart.”
