This sign was up just blocks from my house.
The word “settled” was removed around mid-morning, and the “Jews” part was removed by noon. On the latter, it was removed by a passing motorist. She saw it and was offended, so she bought a ladder and took the letters down.
We’ve driven by this church’s signs before and noticed two things. First, they’re usually punny – not very thought-provoking. Second, there’s another church about three blocks away that tends to use the exact same wording on its signs. I have a feeling they didn’t copy the sign this time.
“Lovingway,” indeed.
