Uh…
Yeah.
I, uh, realized that I’m noticing people saying “Uhm” or “Uh” a lot more lately. Like, uh, when they’re, like, on TV. Uhm… I wonder why we, like, do this. A few people have, like, said that we use “Uhm” to fill, like, the silences in speaking so we sound, like, more intelligent. I like think that might like be true. But like, what about like?
It’s also like so ubiquitous in our speaking that, uh, it’s hard to notice. We’ve like filtered it out. I’m just glad there’s not like, Like Cola anymore or uh, anything like Like.
