Ever had a great idea for a sitcom pilot, but feel like you couldn’t never break into the television industry without any contacts? Well, get to writing and pitch it to the Pilot Project. After submitting a $25 entry fee, you submit your concept and a panel of judges choose the top 150 pilot concepts. Then, the voting goes to the people to narrow down the field to five, who then get to travel to L.A. to pitch their idea in person. The winner will continue to be involved with the show as a producer and will also become the focus of the Pilot Project reality show (sounds like Project Greenlight, huh?).
Anyone thinking what I’m thinking? A sitcom about the Ping, starring Paul and me, with walk-ons by other Pingers. It’d have lots of Oreo product placements, of course. And it would have to be set in the Outback, just because, mate.
