I think workweeks should be shortened to four days and every weekend should be three days long. But since that’s never going to happen, I have to live with the occasional three-day weekend. I’ve always preferred having a Monday off because when the weekend rolls around, you’re excited to have three days off, but when those three days are up, you’re greeted with a shortened work week. Other people prefer having the Friday off, having the three-day weekend cap off a four-day work week rather than lead into it.
