Remember Sniglets, the Rich Hall vehicle for words that didn’t exist, but should? They were very popular in the mid-80s… and weren’t they somehow connected to Not Necessarily the News? I think Rich Hall may have even been the one to coin the term “spork.”
The other day I thought of something that needs to have a sniglet of its own: that thing under hotel beds that keeps things from going under. While you can’t stow anything away under the beds, it does keep you from losing a watch or something that may get knocked underneath. It deserves its own word, if one doesn’t already exist.
Any suggestions?
