Bob Hope turns 100 years old today. Active in entertainment since the early 1930s, Bob Hope is one of those guys that, love him or hate him, has permeated just about every part of our culture at one time or another. His work during times of military conflict is well-documented (he’s travelled over six million miles going overseas to entertain troops!) and even managed to crack a joke a few days shy of the big 1-0-0, reportedly telling his aide that, “I’m so old that they’ve cancelled my blood type.”
Happy Birthday, Bob. Here’s to another 100 years.
