Loadstar Compleat

Talk about hitting paydirt.

If you grew up reading Loadstar in the 80s and 90s, you’ll of course remember that yours truly was a prolific contributor to the magazine as well as its sister publication, Loadstar 128. I was shocked and amazed to find that Ramble House, created by former LS editor Fender Tucker, is selling Loadstar Compleat. It contains all 199 issues of LS, all 42 LS 128s, tons of other goodies, and even comes in one of the old-school floppy disk sleeves.

The whole thing, for $30.

I think that’s pretty amazing stuff. Loadstar issues were $9.95 each back in the day (a fine value), and this is just fantastic. I am excited about the prospect of seeing my old software, and remembering if it was any good or not. I know that Budgetmeister 128 kicked ass.

What is this then?

The Daily Ping is the web's finest compendium of toilet information and Oreo™® research. Too much? Okay, okay, it's a daily opinion column written by two friends. Did we mention we've been doing this for over ten years? Tell me more!
