Good Tax Intentions

Every year, I have the best intentions of doing my taxes early. I keep good track of my W-2s, 1099-INTs, and 666-FUs. I download the new copy of the tax software I use. Sometimes, I even actually start to enter the information in early. But every year, without fail, I end up submitting my taxes a few days late (federal taxes… don’t even get me started on my state taxes). It’s no big deal since I’m owed money each year, so there’s no penalty for being late, but it shows how once again, I’m better at the planning than the actual execution.

Anyone else have this problem? Any procrastinating Pingers come tax time? Or am I alone in this boat?

What is this then?

The Daily Ping is the web's finest compendium of toilet information and Oreo™® research. Too much? Okay, okay, it's a daily opinion column written by two friends. Did we mention we've been doing this for over ten years? Tell me more!
