Stop the presses! It’s all true! There’s an SUV out there that I like – but sadly, not for its fuel economy or environmental status. This one? It just looks good. Really good.
It’s the Nissan Murano, whose name is something I’m not as keen on. But I’ve seen a couple on the road, and they are quite distinctive – low-slung and pretty aggressive. I even like the red interior.
The sad thing is that the fuel economy is the same as the PT Cruiser I currently drive, and the Murano is larger and heavier than the PT. (The PT gets mediocre mileage.) And, of course, the Murano is another SUV, and you know how that goes. It’s also a $30,000 car, so chances are quite high I’ll never get one.
But at least it looks like it was designed to have a shape, instead of the ol’ “tall box with acute angles” style.
