A few weeks ago, Mena blogged about a mighty cool site called Photos Found in a Thrift Store Camera. On the site is a series of photos from a roll of film that the webmaster found in an old Kodak Instamatic camera that he bought—take a guess!—from a thrift store. The printing was $16, so the owner opted to just get them processed, scan them in with a negative scanner, and then adjust levels in Photoshop to make the pictures viewable. The roll of film contained what looked to be a child’s birthday party from the early 80s, ranging from unintentionally funny to dark and depressing.
What I learned from this site is that I need a shirt like this.
