August 27th is Summer Bank Holiday in the UK.
Sure, it’s also Mother Teresa’s birthday, but what the world is really celebrating is Summer Bank Holiday. It occurs just three months after Spring Bank Holiday and four months before Late Winter Bank Holiday (which, coincidentally, falls on Christmas Day).
While it may appear that only the UK celebrates Summer Bank Holiday, Gibraltar has followed suit with their own Late Summer Bank Holiday. How will you celebrate? -ram
