Today marks the second of the two Friday the 13ths of 2001 (the first was in April). Beyond the movie series that won’t die, Friday the 13th has a long history. It’s a rough day for friggatriskaidekaphobes (for whom the number 13 isn’t always bad, just when it’s the date when the day is a Friday). And random fact: the phrase “twelve plus one” is an anagram for “eleven plus two.” Whoa.
So, for the superstitious (and the non-superstitious) among us, has anything bad ever happened to you on Friday the 13th? I can’t think of anything, though Monday the 13th has been known to be a bit rough. -ram
