I happened across a new feature (by way of Research Buzz) on my favorite online (non-meta) dictionary: Merriam-Webster: audio pronunciations.
Up until now, an online dictionary has offered pretty much the same features as the print version, except that it took up less space. Finally there’s a feature that gives it the edge over its print counterpart.
It probably would have been a pretty tedious job being the person that has to pronounce words like “chair” and “door” all day long, just waiting for that next “schadenfreude.” -ram
