Okay, this is bugging me. I saw magnolia several months ago in the theaters and thought it was awful. Awful. Awful. I felt cheated out of my three hours. It had roughly 800 plots, none of which really hooked up, and none of which were really resolved in the end. It felt long, it felt pointless.
The question is: can anyone out there who liked it tell me why? What was the big message? I’d like to know. -pm
