Though I never found Kevin Nealon to be one of the funnier SNL cast members, there was one sketch I particularly liked: the Love Toilet.
In this sketch, Nealon and Victoria Jackson show off a two-seated toilet made for newlyweds that can’t spend a few minutes apart. It’s one of those sketches that comes up frequently in conversation, even years later.
There were some odd sites that came up during a search for the Love Toilet:
- This Japanese page opens: “We love toilet! It is an alliance for the favorite one of a toilet.” I’m confused.
- Terry Love’s Consumer toilet reports, a report on low flow water efficient toilets (last updated September 5!)
- The Straight Dope’s How to Use a Bidet
- Love Toilets in Ancient Egypt (near the—huh huh—bottom)
There was also a “love toilet seat cover” at some online shops, but it seems to have been discontinued. Oh well.
