With the sheer number of books, CDs, and movies that I have, I’ve done a pretty good job at buying the same item twice. But a few times I have purchased a book at a used book store only to get home and find out that I already had a copy (or, in one case, two copies) of it. And only one time have I purchased a CD that I had ordered from a different place earlier in the week. I later resold that CD on Half.com and didn’t lose any money on the deal. And as far as movies, I ordered the same DVD from two places only once. I gave the duplicate as a gift.
