Schoolyard Fights

Perhaps I was just lucky, or just a very likable kid, but I never got into any sort of physical altercations in my time at school. The closest that I ever came was in third or fourth grade where I got in a shoving match with Jon Greene on the playground. I think he probably could have taken me. At that age with my lack of experience, I think a toddler could have taken me.

And in middle school there was one bully who did give me a hard time, but it tended to be more in the form of mind games. It was odd, too, because I had no idea who he was, never had any run-ins with him previously… he was just two years older and I turned out to be the object of his bullying.

I think that because of my lack of experience, if I were to get into a fight now, I’d have to play the “crazy, loony freak” card and hope I scared the guy away.

Nothing like being jumped by two guys. One is holding your arms back and the other is using your stomach as a punching bag.
