Over this holiday, I picked up Forbidden Island, a board game quite a bit like the popular Pandemic. In Forbidden Island, you work with other players to get four treasures off of a rapidly sinking island. As in Pandemic, each player has special skills and it’s quite easy to lose a game. However, we won our first game (admittedly playing with the easiest game configuration). It’s a fun one for group play and not a bad way to kill an hour with friends.
