The Perfect Game

Phil Humber of the White Sox – the Chicago baseball team that matters, the one that’s won a World Series within the past 100 years – pitched a perfect game the other day. It’s only happened 21 times in MLB history, so it’s a pretty big deal.

I found The Economist’s take to be quite interesting. They suppose that as baseball is a team sport, we really should look at the whole team’s involvement when a pitcher gets a perfect 27 up, 27 down out there. Not a bad idea, really.
