I like Andy Richter. Back when he was the sidekick of Late Night with Conan O’Brien, Andy stood out as a comedic genius. He went far above and beyond the call of duty, and brought a special element to the show.
When Andy left the show, fans were saddened. But he kept promising that he’d show up elsewhere, most notably in the movies. And now, that time has arrived.
Unfortunately, Andy’s showing up in movies such as Scary Movie 2 and the soon-to-be-epic, PootieTang. He even put in an appearance in Dr. Doolittle 2. I ask you, what is a man with such talent doing in productions so… so… bad? Maybe Andy’s looking to pull a Chris Elliott role and star in (generally) poorly-received productions because his audience can understand his humor no matter what venue. But Andy’s also new to many, many people out there… and they’ll just write him off as "that one guy in that one film".
Andy, I implore you: get a new agent. -pm
