Today, Chicago is scheduled to get its first significant snow of the season. It’s been an oddly dry winter and I haven’t had to use a snowblower, shovel, or salt yet. Except for table salt. I use that a lot.
The snowstorm’s timing is probably my least favorite, however. It’s going to start snowing in the late morning. That means everyone can get into work just fine, but the evening commute will be at least 7 hours. It’s deceiving.
I’d much rather just have the thing start overnight so when I wake up, I’m just in it. Let’s get it together, Weather Service!
