Class action suits

I got this e-mail outlining a class action lawsuit against Wal-Mart and Netflix for some illegal agreements they entered into a number of years ago. Netflix allegedly said, “Hey, we won’t sell new movies if you get the heck out of the DVD rental market.” Wal-Mart reportedly said, “Cool.”

Now, anyone who had a Netflix account between 5/19/2005 to 9/2/2011 could get some money.

I’ve been a part of a number of class action lawsuits through the years, but you know: I don’t think I’ve ever gotten any money, usually because I’ve completely forgotten about the suit and don’t do the needful in order to get paid.

Anyone else made out like a bandit (or gotten $1.63) from a class action suit before?

I got this message, too.

I’m pretty sure I haven’t gotten anything from class action suits… or minuscule amounts that I very quickly forgot about.

What is this then?
