I’m not being at all facetious when I say that I think pillows are important. While I’m not rocking a Chillow anymore, I find that a good, supportive pillow is one of the best things one can own.
Since I’m a side sleeper, I like a really firm pillow. These really floppy, flimsy ones? No good.
But there comes a time when a pillow just isn’t up to snuff anymore. It feels like I’m replacing my pillow more frequently than ever, maybe every few months, and I don’t recall replacing it so often in the past. But maybe I’m just harder on my pillow nowadays. After all, my brain is getting fuller by the minute.
So I think I’m going to need a true pillow policy and remember to replace my pillow every three months. New season equals new pillow and, really, that’s not so bad, is it?

No, don’t do that! I have a memory foam one that was ~$100 and it was entirely worth it. It’s pretty heavy, very thick, and cured my neck pain which obviously came from a thin pillow. I can even get the brand name of it if you are interested in finding one.
