I’m a big fan of 750 Words because it’s increased the amount that I journal from a few times a year to almost every day. It’s easy to use, which for a quick-and-dirty writing app is just what I need.
Buster Benson, the man behind 750 Words, recently launched Health Month, new a site that makes a game out of helping you achieve your health goals, whatever they may be, whether it’s doing something (eating fruit every day), not doing something (not having an afternoon soda), or measuring activity level (running 15 miles in a week). It awards points for success and penalizes for failures with the end goal of coming out on the positive end of things by the end of the month. It also takes into account how difficult a goal is for you and lets you form teams with friends and family to keep each other honest.
It’s a fun, well-designed site. Some of the scoring and rules are a bit complex at first, but honestly, if you go in with the goal of getting healthier and not stressing too much about the nuts and bolts, you’re going to have a good time.
I’ll try and remember to report back after using it for a month.
