Last week Arby’s started promoting its latest wacky invention, the Roast Burger. Before I saw the actual food item in question I thought the world had gone upside down. Arby’s selling burgers? That’s like Wendy’s selling roast beef! (Which they did, in a Chicago trial run.)
But then I saw what it was and was surprised. It’s just a roast beef sandwich – same as ever – dressed like a burger. Not Mayor McCheese style, but with bacon and cheese, or random saucy sauce… things like that.
Another similar thing I saw: a big fish stick on a hot dog bun. Yeah, I know.
Can we just let these foods be what they are? Please? Thanks.
