I think that once you hit -10, everything else is just a big bonus. Okay, so it really is cold – and it is really, really cold.
When you’re outside, your legs feel like tall chunks of ice. Cars and trains and buses just don’t want to go. Sidewalks and streets feel as if they’re made out of leftover glaciers. Everyone is so very bundled up that you’ll be lucky to see one’s eyes, if anything. Giant boots and coats are the rule.
It’s definitely beyond the point of fun winter weather. That’s what’s shown on TV, when there’s somehow 3-6 inches of snow on the ground and yet no one’s wearing a giant coat. This is the serious stuff.
