Why the Internet is Great: Shoelace Edition

Would you be surprised to find out there’s an entire site dedicated to shoe lacing (the “#1 shoe lacing site”, no less)? Or that it takes two weeks to get shoelaces from an online source? Or that hemp shoelaces in their natural color are in high demand? Or that there’s a wrong way to tie your shoes?

You can thank me later.

Those tying instructions are awfully involved. However, ever since I saw the world’s fastest shoelace knot (http://www.5min.com/Video/The-Worlds-Fastest-Shoelace-Knot-6824) I have been using that religiously. It’s the best knot ever!

I thought I saw it on the Ping years ago, but I can’t find it in archives. Hmm…

What is this then?

The Daily Ping is the web's finest compendium of toilet information and Oreo™® research. Too much? Okay, okay, it's a daily opinion column written by two friends. Did we mention we've been doing this for over ten years? Tell me more!
