So now that the Olympics are over, how are you going to spend the time you’ve previously spent watching the 37 qualifying races for the men’s 4×400?
Me, I’m going to spike volleyballs in people’s faces and yell, “I’m Misty May, sucka!” And instead of watching synchronized diving, I’m going to strip down to my boxers, sit in a public fountain, and recreate Michael Phelps’ celebration pose for onlookers/police.

I’m going to get my Misty May fix by watching her on Dancing with the Stars.

I actually found her and her volleyball partner very annoying personalities. Good atheletes, but incredibly annoying (and thanking George Bush after having won the gold? WTF?).

Do you remember the NBC Triple Cast of the Olympics several years ago? I wish we had had that, because I feel like I only every saw two or three different events. Where were the prancing horses? The tennis? The synchronized roller derby?

The volleyball hotties talk? Who knew? 😉

The prancing horses and tennis were on the Oxygen network. I got roped into watching that for a little bit with my fiance. How the heck is THAT an Olympic event..?!
That said, I watched a pretty decent spread of all the games. Some events I intentionally skipped (equestrian, Olympic boxing), but was still surprised at how many I, the Olympics sports fan, ended up watching, and getting into. I mean, who knew they even HAD men’s field hockey?!
I’d love to see the US field a Handball team for 2012….or at the very least, an Olympic Lawn Darts team. Who’s in?

I knew I didn’t imagine the prancing horses!
Men’s field hockey? They sure don’t get much coverage on Sports Center.
