Why Monty Hall Rules

There’s only one reason, really: there’s an entire paradox named after him.

It doesn’t hurt that Let’s Make a Deal is still entertaining after all these years. GSN shows plenty of old episodes, and trying out pricing games from 35-45 years ago is juuust a little more challenging now than it was then.

Weird how so many people got it wrong. The answer should be more obvious if one takes into account that the game host KNOWS where the car is – he looked behind the doors!

The monty hall problem was featured in the recent movie “21”, and also in the book “the curious incident of the dog in the night time” – which actually has a very good explanation of the problem.
