There’s been a fair amount of talk about Target’s new house-brand cereal packaging. I for one have been enjoying said packaging as Target offers up one of my favorite cereals: Cinnamon Super Crazy Protein Crunch with Extra Protein. It’s convenient to have one container that has a pour spout and no bag.
Except.
A couple of days ago I picked up the box and noticed that there was no shaking of flakes, no ruffling of cinnamon sticks, no. I opened the lid and… nothing. A look inside revealed that all the cereal had merged into one gigantic block of cereal.
I’m pretty sure I haven’t had this happen with the traditional bag of cereal, ever. The seal on the box was as tight as allowed, and the cereal was a little old but not that old. Perhaps it’s just a new type of cereal bar and I missed the memo.

Hee! Just add milk. Lots of milk.
Do you remember when the mini boxes of cereal had foil liners so you could literally open the box, pour the milk in, and eat right out of the box? Was that the 70s or 80s??
