Ryan’s already confessed his love and fear of the iRobot Roomba. While it’s not exactly new, I think I may have to get another wee robot, the Looj.
What does it do? It cleans gutters. That’s it. But having just finished my first quick gutter-cleaning adventure I can say that I see the appeal. Gutter cleaning isn’t terribly difficult, just woefully inconvenient and tedious. But if I had a little robot scurrying in the gutter, cleaning stuff out for me? That could be a lot better.
I’ve got to say that while I expected robots to do things like cook meals and overrun our society, I didn’t expect them to take care of menial household tasks. But now that they are, I’ve got to say that they’re pretty swell.
