Oreo Accident

Boy oh boy, I wish I was hanging around around Morris, Illinois the other morning. Why? A truck was in an accident and spilled 20,000 pounds of Oreos. 20,000 pounds! Think about how many that is for a moment.

Interestingly, the AP story notes that they were “double-stuffed” Oreos – perhaps they mean Double Stuf? – as if it made a difference. It also had one of the funnier lines I’ve read in a news article:

“[Illinois Sgt.] Mahoney says no charges have been filed but both lanes of traffic remain closed while authorities remove the cookies.”

Come on! Authorities had to remove the cookies! How much milk does that take, anyway?

The local Fox affiliate went with “Got milk?” headline this morning for this story.

Though they didn’t mention the types of cookies in the teaser, I was able to tell from the cardboard boxes on the ground that they were Oreos. It’s good to be an Oreo Expert.

What is this then?
