I was thinking the other day that today, in the Year of Our Oreo 2008, that when I’m in the mood for a movie, there are an absurd amount of options. I’ve broken them into categories for your viewing pleasure:
Ways I’ve been able to pick a movie for a while now:
- Browsing my own DVDs (or, if I’m feeling adventurous, VHS tapes)
- Seeing what’s on Lifetime Movie Network
- Watching whatever DVD I’ve got in from Netflix
Ways to pick a movie that are new:
- Watching a Netflix Video-on-Demand movie on my PC
- Watching a free on-demand film on FiOS
- Hulu
Ways I no longer pick movies:
- Local mom-and-pop rental stores, because there are none
Ways I’ll be able to pick movies in the future:
- Thinking about them and then they’ll be projected to the inside of my eyelids so I can watch them while I sleep
