Yesterday morning I stopped by my local Starbucks™ to get a cup of coffee. I brought my own tumbler as I didn’t really need to waste a paper cup.
I got up to the counter, placed my order, and said, “I’ve got a cup.” But before the sentence was done I was looking at a fresh paper cup of coffee. Opps. So the barista poured the coffee from the paper cup into my reusable one… and then she threw it out.
Mistakes can happen, of course… I just thought it was funny given my small effort to save some paper. Maybe next time.
