Can I explain the definition of “insanity” for you?
A houseful of guests including a dozen (I think?) kids for a one-year-old’s birthday party. Wowza. And yet, I’m happy to report: nothing broken or damaged and by some miracle, not even any (new) carpet stains!
As tiring as it was, it was also quite a bit of fun and it’s funny how guests can manage to relax even when the “wave of crying” starts, where one child starts with tears and it slowly moves to each and every other kid in the room until the entire house is echoing with reverberating screams. Thankfully, those moments are usually pretty limited.
Tomorrow’s plan: sleep in.
