Oddity from a commercial break last night.
A Chrysler commercial aired selling some overpriced bloatmobile. It rolled with their new tagline, “Engineered beautifully.” Okay. Sure.
The commercial right after that one was for DirecTV which claimed it was… “beautiful”.
Clearly both of these things can’t be equally beautiful. That’s just crazy talk! So who wins? A Chrysler Pacifica or a 138-channel satellite TV package?

The Chrysler Pacifica is as beautiful as a plastic bag blowing around in the wind. It’s a piece of trash!!! Pick it up, put it in a garbage can. 138 channels of satellite television, now that’s beautiful, until the bill arrives.

neither. And the slogan about protecting the luxury of life is dumb too. It’s ambiguous, and if you take it to mean that life itself is a luxury… it’s weird.
