I was thrilled to learn that not only can one buy a giant box filled with Heinz Ketchup packets at Costco, but one can buy a box of Heinz Ketchup in the “official” restaurant bottles there too.
I’m not sure why it struck a chord with me but it did. Visions of my restaurant, Paul’s Place, popped into my head. Me, carrying a box of ketchup bottles (glass!) into the restaurant. And then me realizing that my restaurant is really just a cookie shop and no one would ever need ketchup on cookies.
Darn you, Costco.

Some people accustomed to PA Dutch cooking might want ketchup on a cookie; it’s one of their 4 seasonings they are permitted to use.
What kind of cookies will you make? I will contribute my pumpkin chocolate chunk or oatmeal chocolate chip. Or both. I will buy my ingredients from Costco if you prefer.
