So jetBlue is finally coming to Chicago, after 40 years in the wilderness. After hearing about them for years (rave reviews, mostly) I headed over to their site to see what was what.
And goodness, they are cheap. While there are promos in effect – like $50 flights to NYC – they seem low overall. It’s not just me, right? They’re cheap?
I’m more curious about their customer service, and if they’re a viable option versus the usual crap that’s out there. Frontier has always been a solid flying choice, better than the really big guys, and I’m curious if jetBlue is in the same boat.
Also, as an aside: with all the hassles associated with flying lately, I’ve been really really hesitant to consider going anywhere. It just seems like it’s all getting to be more trouble than it’s worth.

I’ve heard really good things about jetBlue from my friends who have flown with them. Sadly, they don’t fly out of Philly (despite my numerous entries to their suggestion box). I guess I’m stuck with Southwest or US Airways. *sigh*
AirTran wasn’t that bad the last time I flew it last year, though. Having 30 something XM Radio stations to listen to on the flight really helped to pass the time. Better than being trapped on Southwest on a flight from Philly to Los Angeles, with a broken iPod. Oh, the horror.
