Interestful

A new word has entered my vocabulary recently. And it’s not a word you’ll find in any dictionary, but I suspect that based on the swing the Ping has with Merriam-Webster, it should be finding its way into the next edition. The word?

Interestful.

The origin is a chat Paul and I had earlier this year:

Ryan: Interesting — I get in only four minutes after you in Portland
Paul: That IS interesting!
Ryan: It’s SO interesting, I propose a new word:
Ryan: interestful. As in “full of interest.”
Paul: That’s interestful.

When something goes beyond plain “interesting,” it becomes “interestful.” “Interful” is also an acceptible abbreviation.

For the spelling bee nuts out there, here it is used in a sentence: “This Ping was definitely not interestful.”

I got a new word for you…

Ricockulous.

When something is just wat more than ridiculous, it’s ricockulous – and there is also a little play on words there…

🙂

Chris Jericho used that a lot when he was active in the WWE, if I remember correctly.

I know it loses LOTS in the translation… but eons ago when I worked with folks who spoke Russian, Ochen’ Karandash (phonetics, okay?) always sounded so cool. Literally it means “Very Pencil,” but heck, when you can’t speak Russian, it’s pretty sweet!

Ciao,

What is this then?
