Another in a Series of Gas Price Checks

Just because a) it’s Wednesday and b) I’m Mr. Cranky Pinger this morning: how much is gas in your neck of the woods now?

We got away paying $2.91 in the far suburbs this past weekend, but near our house, regular unleaded is $3.12 – $3.17. I have this feeling we’re not going much below $3 again, maybe ever.

…And to cover all the gas-related Pings, we’re at $3.33 near my house (seen as high as $3.39) and $3.69 in SF. And yes, I saw $3.99 gas in SF, for premium. Whee!

Wow. WOW! That’s another reason why I am not renting a car when I visit CA next week.

It’s finally impacting my personal life: I put off visiting my nephew 125 miles away, and I declined a trip to the Baltimore area because only one of the two people I hoped to visit was available.

Gas is still twice the price in Germany. Many families have no or just one car. Imagine that!

What is this then?

The Daily Ping is the web's finest compendium of toilet information and Oreo™® research. Too much? Okay, okay, it's a daily opinion column written by two friends. Did we mention we've been doing this for over ten years? Tell me more!
