Over the past several years, there have been a few too many zombie movies hitting the big screens (yes, I said it: too many). A long-time zombie movie fan like me reveled in the better releases and discussions inevitably followed with fellow like-minded freaks: what kinds of zombies are best? The slow lumbering ones (Romero’s and Fulci’s zombies), the ones that can drive cars and look like they have hamburger faces (City of the Walking Dead), or the ones that move really, really fast (28 Days Later). Fortunately, American Nerd magazine has us covered with a very thorough investigation and examination of movie zombies in their article titled “Run, Zombie, Run.”
Their take on fast-moving zombies? “Given caffeine addiction, ADHD, information overload, and constant exposure to multi-frame per second editing, it is no wonder that a quicker dead are chasing this generation.”
