I’ve already sung the praises of Lands’ End, particularly when it comes to somewhat odd questions about socks. But there’s another thing they offer I think is pretty cool: custom clothing. You want a custom dress shirt? $50.
Now, to be fair, I think that’s a good price. For people who are the same height as Neve Campbell, clothing off the rack always has to be altered – particularly pantaloons. Once the alteration is figured into the price, it’s about on par with a $60-$70 custom pair from Lands’ End.
The other thing is that it’s just neat technology. Back when Lands’ End was on GEnie I’m sure no one in their wildest dreams thought one would be able to enter numbers on a website and come up with a dress shirt.
