Clocky (presumably short for “Clocky McClockerson”), is clearly one of the best inventions in recent memory. A creation of an MIT student, Clocky is an alarm clock that when you hit snooze, it hides itself, forcing you to get out of bed and find it to turn it off the next time it goes off. It solves the problem that the alarm-clock-across-the-room trick doesn’t: it makes you get out of bed and wake up enough to find it rather than stomping like a zombie to the same place, only to return back to bed. If you’ve ever snoozed too many times or turned off your alarm without knowing it, Clocky is the answer for you. Plus, it looks like a candy bar.
Clocky isn’t commercially available yet, but may be as soon as next year.
