New Holiday Idea

Here is my idea: the first weekday after a time change (either Daylight Savings or Standard) should be a holiday. Why, you ask? Because it should be. That’s why.

Okay, okay, to explain a little: it’s the equivalent of an hour earlier, so everyone lost an hour of sleep and probably won’t adjust to the new time for a few days… or a week… or so. So everyone’s going to head into work today feeling a little groggy and out of it. Why? Because we changed the clocks.

Short of dumping Daylight Savings altogether, I think having a day off in April and October is the next best thing. It’s not too much to ask, and everyone could use a couple of days off. Agree?

What is this then?

The Daily Ping is the web's finest compendium of toilet information and Oreo™® research. Too much? Okay, okay, it's a daily opinion column written by two friends. Did we mention we've been doing this for over ten years? Tell me more!
