Amazon Wishlist Wishlist

It’s the holiday season, and I find that an easy way to keep track of what I want is Amazon’s Wishlist. However, there’s a couple of problems with it I’d like to see fixed.

The biggest one is that I’d like to be able to set the way my list is shown to other people. When you view someone’s Wishlist, it comes up in a default order and can be changed… but what if I want a very specific order? What if I worked hard to make that order? Nada. Forget it. My wife found this out the hard way this weekend.

And then there’s a simpler request. Why can’t I print the things out all nice-like? Some people like to have actual, physical lists in front of them. Why can’t Amazon just do a nice print stylesheet that lets me order things the way I want, along with a simple link or ASIN/ISBN next to each item? Hmmmm?

Overall though, I think the Wishlist is a nice idea. It works pretty well, even if one shops elsewhere.

What is this then?

The Daily Ping is the web's finest compendium of toilet information and Oreo™® research. Too much? Okay, okay, it's a daily opinion column written by two friends. Did we mention we've been doing this for over ten years? Tell me more!
