For the past three days, I’ve had the theme to The Greatest American Hero stuck in my head. That, and George Costanza’s answering machine message riff on it. But the 70s seemed to be a time when theme songs still mattered – most shows nowadays have instrumental themes or none at all.
With that in mind I ask you, Pingers, to name your favorite 70s TV theme song. And woe to anyone who answers 60 Minutes.

Barnaby Jones. Good low register flute melody. Also the theme from Quincy M.E. is ROUSING as heck! What a tune!!
