There’s not much you can do to a paper towel to make it more useful. Sure, some brands are slightly more absorbent than others, but in general, they’re all pretty much the same. Then came Bounty Select-a-Size, where the tear points for the paper towels are placed at smaller intervals. The idea is that you only have to use what you need, and though I haven’t found myself tearing off more than a sheet at a time, I’m getting a lot more use out of each roll. Most of the time you need a paper towel, it’s for a small job, so being able to easily tear off a small portion of a paper towel is a simple, but important invention for today’s terrorist-filled world.
